Evermore

At the core of the brand is the spirit and resilience of the stories passed down through generations of my family. ‘Evermore’ is the continuation of a personal exploration into my Chinese-Vietnamese heritage through the creation of contemporary luxury pieces. 

Inspired by the women of my family, especially my grandmas, the collection reflects both their strength and softness, their rich histories and their colourful lives. Shot in the streets of Hanoi, ‘Evermore’ is also an ode to my Bà and Ông who passed away last year. 

The collection features pieces inspired by the qipao and áo dài, cut in asymmetric drapes and panels of layered mesh, silks and technical jerseys. The seasonal all over print depicts moving dragons with traditional clouds inspired by imperial Vietnamese manuscripts. Layered against tonal textures of acid wash denim, the modernised illustrations are hand drawn and printed onto silk and mesh. 

Hand pleated layers of red chiffon are draped across the bust to create a deep V neckline and open back silhouette of the Thị Evening Gown. Tonal red Guipure lace is hand cut in the shape of the map of Vietnam and hand appliquéd to the top layer of chiffon. A matching veil is draped across the head and inspired by a Vietnamese Priestess of the Cult of the Three Worlds from 1916. 

Contemporary, transitional outerwear made from breathable, water resistant nylons featuring ribbed cuff details, internal waist drawcords and contrast piping are styled with effortless skorts and draped halter neck dresses.
